One of Australasia's most respected firms specialising in the marketing and management of exhibition space is looking for an experienced sales person to help grow their client base within the Auckland region. The role is for a 12 month fixed term period.
This company’s focus is on staging excellent exhibitions that meet their client's unique requirements, both exhibitors and visitors. Reporting to the Exhibition Director you will know the importance of identifying and meeting customers' expectations and tailoring solutions ultimately ensuring each client has a personalised and rewarding exhibition experience.
Generating new business and contracts in an exciting growth period for this company, you will join a lively, successful and creative sales team. Your role will consist primarily of developing sales leads, booking appointments with prospective clients, account management of existing customers and negotiating optimal exhibition packages. You will also participate in the running and coordination of up and coming shows. You will be measured on your new business development ability, client retention and level of customer service provided to your clients.
To be successful in this role you must hold a naturally consultative approach to business and enjoy creating and maintaining open channels of communication between yourself and your clients. It is also essential that you are adept in proactive sourcing of leads for new business as well as being excellent in retaining and growing highly valued clients.
Who we are looking for:

Someone who can demonstrate a successful track record in a true consultative sales environment.

A successful track record in business-to-business sales predominantly in a telephone sales environment.

You will be able to demonstrate a high degree of competency in lead generation and telephone prospecting/cold calling.

Experience and a successful track record in a B2B face to face sales environment is also desirable.

A true team player who will live their company values and works collaboratively as part of a small and collegiate team.

Strong customer service skills, solid work ethic and be highly self motivated and passionate.

Professionally presented, articulate and able to easily develop and maintain relationships with team members and customers.
As an Exhibition Sales Manager you will benefit from a competitive base salary and a realistic OTE ensuring your hard work and sales success will be well rewarded. This role is based in the CBD and a car park is provided.
Previous experience in the industry is desirable, but not essential.
